FAQs
Bath houses / Toilets / Showers
There is both a men’s bath house and a women’s bathhouse, near the bunk houses, the AFS classroom and mulitipurpose pavilion. Each bath house has 2 shower stalls and two toilets, with sinks and counters. There is also a private bathroom in the Classroom building, and several outdoor port-a-pottys and sink adjacent next to the barn near the Dance Pavilion.
Do I need to bring bedding if I’m staying in a bunkhouse?
Yes, you need to bring bedding, for single mattresses. Sleeping bags are easy, but you may prefer to bring sheets and blankets, or a combination of both. NC mountain weather is unpredictable, where you may need the sleeping bag AND a blanket on one night and then just a light blanket on another. Don’t forget your pillow!
Is there RV parking?
Very limited, so we recommend staying off-site if you have an RV.
Can I sleep in my car?
Yes, sleeping in your car, van, or truck is allowed in the parking area, but not in the tenting areas.
